Dr. Katie Duncan has spent her life in service to the place she calls home. To Katie, District 6 is more than a map. It is neighbors on the porch, children walking to school, the small businesses that have held on through hard years, and the Historic Westside that helped build Las Vegas.

She leads with a simple set of values: service, accountability, and community trust. Those values show up in the work. Katie led the restoration of the historic Harrison House. She founded the Las Vegas Ward 5 Chamber of Commerce to help local businesses grow. And she advanced the Westside Improvement and Opportunity Fund to bring investment and economic mobility to the neighborhood.

Katie studied business and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She also holds a Doctorate in Divinity from Kingdom Builders Bible Seminary and a certificate from the Universidad de Salamanca in Spain. She knows what it takes to balance a budget, meet a payroll, and keep a promise.

Her work reaches beyond the district, too. Katie has served as an Ambassador for Peace, taken part in the African Diaspora Leadership Conference, and contributed to the City of Las Vegas 100 Plan. She is a member of Las Vegas Family Church. Wherever she serves, she builds partnerships that expand opportunity, strengthen families, and support small businesses.

Why nonpartisan

Katie is running as a nonpartisan candidate, and she means it. The people of District 6 deserve a representative who answers to them, not to a party and not to the people who fund one. Labels do not fix potholes or fund schools. They do not bring jobs home or make a block safer. Results do.

Being nonpartisan, to Katie, means sitting down with anyone willing to get something done for the neighborhood. She listens first and acts second. That is exactly how she will serve in Carson City.

What she is fighting for

Katie's promise is plain. She will work every day for safer streets, homes families can afford, good local jobs, and better schools. She will knock on doors, have real conversations, and measure her success by what actually changes on your block.

This is your district. Katie wants to earn the chance to represent it.
